    Phone get a 2.5, Windows OS gets a 3.5

    Wow...I finally have a Windows Phone device! I have been wanting one for quite some time to see just how it stacks up to the Android and iOS juggernauts. But first, a word about the HTC Surround 7, yuck! I guess it's my fault for not really knowing what I was getting. The phone is very average in all facets save one (the stock battery is horrible). The build quality is okay but the phone feels slick in the hand and without a case I would probably drop it constantly; I do have large hands. The slide out speaker gives slightly better than average sound but overall it's an unnecessary contributor to the phone's bulkiness. Mind you, this is a small phone by today's 4.7-4.9 inch standards (that's 11.9-12.4 centimeters for those outside the US). The addition of a dedicated camera button is not ...

    Well built, great software, poor battery life, great value!

    AT&T's Windows Phone 7 device, the HTC Surround, is a wonderfully designed phone with a sturdy industrial design. It is a bit on the heavy side, and is pretty thick by today's standards, but the WP7 experience is top notch, especially with WP7.5 "Mango" in the mix. Battery life is the only real letdown with this phone. It is difficult to make it through an entire day on a single charge. The Dolby speaker that slides out of the side of the phone is loud enough, but possibly subpar for some, especially when the phone is centered around the media experience. Other than these small gripes it is a great phone. I give it a solid 4 out of 5.

    Htc surround

    Very good smartphone. Bought this product because the OS Windows, i've had a windows phone previously but nothing compares to the new windows mobile OS, easy and simple to use. Better than Android for sure. Great camera, awsome sistem surround touch screen with high quality. Awsone smartphone.

    Great Phone

    Got this as a back up phone in case of emergency or if I go out of town. I really like the phone, its simple to use, has lots of options for the home screen and is quite responsive. The sound is very good for a phone as well, complete with the slider revealing a speaker running the length of the phone. The screen is bright and the camera is great on this one as well, especially for an older phone. If you can find one of these for a reasonable price I would highly recommend it, this phone has convinced me to swap to a new windows 8 phone when it's time to upgrade.

    reasonably priced phone with all the features any iphone has

    i bought the phone used and got it for a reasonable price...went from a iphone i broke and did not want to leave my kidney for payment to get a new one so i opted for a windows phone. i really liked the windows OS and will not be going back to a iphone anytime soon just for the cost of replacing phones every year and half to have the most updated phone...now back to the phone...easy to use (OS is great), features are just as good as any iphone or android.
