    Ready for any emergency

    The radio looks exactly as pictured in add. It is very easy to set into operation - comes with easy to understand instructions with pictures. the sound is good across all bands. I like that it is very compact and can be easily carried in a pack or by using the attached lanyard. This is a very good product for the price.

    So far so good!

    This is a light weight, compact radio, but with a shape that seems to keep it from being knocked or blown over outside. Feels about as solid as a compact, plastic electronic radio can, and we’ll see after its first drop or impact! Switches are typically dainty, the tuning knob is a bit sloppy, but with a fine touch, am and wb reception are as good as my formerly better than avg kaito ka009r (that was not tough enough!) The max volume is just barely enough outside on any power source, but the solar does work well and the sound quality isn’t bad for the size. Kind of what i expected. Hope it’s tough.

    The scratch & dent works perfectly. SW not tested yet.

    I did not seriously test the shortwave (SW) yet. I will tonight. All other bands work fine. Audio is plenty loud. WX stations work fine, AM & FM works fine too. Very bright emergency light on the end of radio. The crank looks like one must be careful with it.. a bit on the thin side but works ok if careful. The telescoping antenna is fine but can't go around with it... only up from 0-90 degrees. Actually i AM impressed with it! For a REAL EMERGENCY this would work perfectly. Yes it has USB jacks (regular & mini) as well as a 3.5mm coaxial jack. The radio actually FEELS right... it has a solid feeling but be cautious with the hand-crank. Use the crank wisely. Mine came in black & forest green. It's like a pet, i like it ! It takes 3 AAA batts too. The volume knob is properly sized and ...

    One of the best.

    Other than a Grundig, which has discontinued manufacture, this has been the best emergency radio I have had. Small and easy to carry and easy to figure out how to use. Also not a battery eater. Only wish it came with an ac adapter instead of a USB charger.

    A best buy, good quality & features for the price

    Pros; Affordable. Compact & portable. Easy to use. Good build quality. Uses AAA & internal recharchable batteries. Has solar and USB charging. Recieves AM, FM, shortwave & weather bands. Cons; Much smaller than most people assume. Internal rechargable battery is very small and should not be used as main power source or for recharging other devices. Tunning control is not fine, and finding stations takes practice.
