    A Nice Phone For Older Users

    It has a very large display and nice size keypad making it easy for people with poor vision or arthritis to use. It's simple and has a loud ring and clear reception. It's a bit confusing at first if you're used to another phone. It seems to work opposite many of the other models I've had, but all in all a good phone. Would I purchase this model again? Probably not. It's a bit too simple and limited in a lot of ways, but I would recommend it to my aging parents who often complain most cell phones are too small or too complicated for them to figure out. If you are looking for something that won't make your fingers fumble or your eyes strain but still want a 'normal' clamshell flip phone, this is ideal.

    good bargain phone

    I bought this phone because my Samsung a727 randomly stopped working after about 15 months. I've been pleased with both my previous Samsung phones: both have been durable through some hard hits, and I like the user interface better than other phones I have seen (could be just that I'm familiar with it. After about 1 month of use, I have no complaints. Volume is good, no issues with clarity, battery life is at least average. The hands-free headset sent with the phone is a piece of trash, but that's not why I bought the phone, so I don't care. Camera takes decent phone photos, not very clear. No media player, no card slot. These would have been nice. Works with my "new" ATT SIM card (2008), even though it is a Cingular phone, unlocked For $35, great buy.

    My cell phone

    I bought this Samsung SGH C417 a little while ago. It was still in good condition and I got it at a cheap price. I have found that it works very well except one minor drawback. For some reason it will randomly start buzzing and will not stop until I take out the battery. After putting the battery back in and turning it on it will continue to buzz/vibrate until it is satisfied and then randomly stops. The longest amount of time has so far been about an hour and a half. There are no settings associated with this problem that I can find that will turn it off. It does still work while it is buzzing but it is really annoying to hold a buzzing phone to your ear. Other than this minor problem the phone has been great and I would recommend this model of phone to anybody.

    Samsung cell phone

    This is a good phone. Excellent phone and easy to text and make calls. I bought this phone because the phone my son had through AT&T broke. At&T phones are not the best quality, unless you want to spend some money (quiet a bit). Samsung's are very good sturdy phones. My son uses it and keeps it in his pocket when he skateboards. It really is a great phone with a lot of clarity. I am extremely happy with this purchase.

    A reliable, cheap, easy to use phone!

    A good, cheap buy. I would have rated 5 stars but decided on only 4 based on the simple fact that it is about as basic as you can get. However, the design and features are timeless so a great back-up phone!
