    Great Low Tension Strings

    I have a Martin nylon string guitar, it is older and required some maintenance when I first bought it. The Martin repair man suggested only low tension strings should be used due to the repairs that were made. I have been using Augustine black low tension classical strings for the past four years. They are great. They sound great. And the guitar is fun to play.

    The other strings

    Strings are fine & go on easily. Only negative is that they have to be tuned more frequently, but the longer they are on the less amount of tightening needed for each string. For a beginner player as I am rhey are a goog purchase.

    Service is the key to success

    First, am not a musician, just an old Scouter who plays guitar at troop’s campfires, and encourages Scouts to learn ‘some’ chords with the expectation that within lies the next Andres Segovia. Therefore, my judgement of the quality of the product is that of a neophyte. For me, they were better than I expected. However, I must add that I received them in less than five days, now that’s service worth two extra stars. Thus, from that perspective, this ‘string set’ has far exceeded my expectations.
