This was brand new memory for a 10 year old Toshiba laptop with its original Win 7 install, and only 2GB RAM. 100% of the memory and most of the CPU time was used just to boot to Windows: It took MINUTES to boot and load anything. 8GB is its maximum, and now, even though it is slow, it uses less than 50% memory and CPU to work. Certainly worth $21.40 for that. If it were mine, an SSD would make it even faster.

    DOA. Broken Bought two broken items

    I tried this ram on so many systems that use 8500s I still have not found a compatible system. I dont think this ram is unbuffered. I tried in 2009 to 2010 Macbook and Macbookpro models and some 2009-2011 windows Laptops to no success. Idon;t have a use for this ram I boujght two of them so they are useless waste of money. The problem is I order parts in advance o my 30 days are up Never again. I will never use Atech again.
