Great looking seat but not for any distance riding.
Bought this a few years back for my 2015 F6B in hopes to gain comfort for long trips. What I ended up with was a seat then was hard when installed and never broke in. Talked to the reps at bike shows and they stated it would "wear in over time". Well 4 years now and I'd say we are past that promise coming true. It is some type of design flaw if you ask me. The seat cushion lacks proper padding and it forces you legs to ride wide in the saddle. After 60 minutes and you feel it. After 90 minutes you can't wait for a break anything past that and your riding concentration fades as the pain is to intense. Sadly they won't work with you to correct the issue and I'm not dishing out that much money again for another try. Sad to see a company with such reputation simply drop the ball. I ... Nice Seat But Didn't Work For Me
Installation was easy. Remove handrails and passenger seat/luggage rack and drop this seat on. The quality is what you would expect from a Mustang seat. However, the padding under your rear is not very thick or very cushioned. It's rather stiff and unforgiving and after a break in period I'm not sure there would be enough padding there for a long haul. It is certainly good enough if you're looking for a seat for short trips (30ish miles) and one that looks good (fits the looks of the bike great!) I'm 5' 10 and the top of the 'backrest' hit me just under the small of my back. For not having a dedicated driver's backrest it will do the job but if you NEED a true driver's backrest then I do not believe this seat will give you the support you are looking for and need. Not bad, but not great either
As a co-founder of CruiserCustomizing I have owned a lot of bikes with different after market seats, including Mustang. This seat sits you a little lower and a little further back, with more of a step to support your lower back. The seat is a bit firmer than I expected, but since it sits you lower I guess that's to be expected to keep you from feeling the seat pan. It certainly looks better than the stock seat, and I was hoping to sit lower to get more flat footed which would help when backing up this big heavy bike. It helped a little, but not much. Maybe I need boots with thicker soles? Installation was also a bear, needed my roommates help to get everything to line up properly. Should it take 30 minutes and lots of cursing to simply bolt a seat in place? I don't think so!
