Initial shipment was recalled, but communications with seller had a second unit shipped ASAP. Stand is well made and easy to assemble and disassemble. IMO it is well worth paying a bit extra to get the case. It is very sturdy and holds the stand nicely when not in use. It also allows you to easily take the stand to your favorite place to practice.
