    Fits on My 2015 Tacoma

    The product is easy to install and fits on my 2015 Tacoma. The only concern is when you close the tailgate there is a vibrating sounds that looks like it is too loose. So what I did is add rubber at the back of the Pop N Lock to just to lessen the sound when closing the tailgate. Overall is good product.

    Does not work without additional support.

    I installed this tailgate lock on my 2014 Tacoma, following the instructions. Installation was easy. However, after installing I found out that it would not lock my tailgate. The locking mechanism went into place just like it should, but if you pull with any force on the tailgate handle, the tailgate would open anyway. I took it back apart, and found that the problem is in the way that it mounts to only one bolt in the tailgate. The lock was simply moving on the bolt and allowing the tailgate to open. I purchased a support bracket for the lock from tacomatruckparts that adds extra support for the lock, and problem solved. If you are considering buying this lock, keep in mind that you will have to add additional support whether buying a bracket like I did or making your own.

    Well recommended.

    The product itself is 5 stars, I only give it 4 because the instructions are not good. I went to YouTube and got real good instructions. On my 2014 Tacoma, I avoided going through the firewall and doubling back to the B post by going through the wiring boot under the driver side door to the B post. Saved a lot of hassle. The product works great and well worth the $ spent.
