This memory card case really exceeds my expectations. Made of the best materials suitable for this purpose and the design and craftsmanship is exquisite. It was described water proof but it's eventually bomb proof. It's easy to open still tight, and easy open but requires some force to avoid accidental opening. Installing or removing cards feels easy and secure. The yellow silicon seal stays in place and compliments nicely the black hard shell and gray interior. The metal parts made of stainless steel that also impressive. I wish to see any products on the market made well like this. A pleasure to look at the thing as well as using. Nice case, but not big enough for the Tamron 150-600 G2
The case is well made - that's not the problem. The photos in the listing for this item show it compared with the older "G1" version of the Tamron 150-600 Lens. It is supposed to fit the "G2" model as well, and it does IF I remove the sunshade. This leaves me without a place to safely store and transport the sunshade. Given the nature of this lens I will almost always be using the shade. It is removable, but for the most part the shade is functionally a part of the lens. It will ALWAYS be accompanying the lens, stored in reverse on the bayonet mount. I will find a padded case that fits the G2 lens system, and I will find another use for my JJC DLP-7. If it were a quarter inch larger in diameter it would work well, but as it is the lens system won't fit in this case. The case is well made - that's not the problem. The outer shell is a lightweight and thick polymer designed to withstand and absorb a decent impact, should that occur. The inside is made of a dense foam which hold the cards in their respective place very well. the two halves are connected by a durable hinge, sealed by a thick silicone gasket, and held closed by a low-profile (snag-proof like) fastener, all of which makes this the ideal choice for a shock-proof, water-resistant case for you SD cards. Only problem is that the SD cards don't securely fit in the foam cut outs.
Only problem is that the SD cards don't securely fit in the foam cut outs (after carrying them around in my pocket for a while, and opening it up, the cards are loose within the case. I cut a card ot thick paper stock that fits between the two halfs of cards that helps the problem
