It works great! Brings the convenience of point-and-shoot to a high end camera.
The item screws on permanently by removing the front ring on the lens. When you turn on your camera, the lens extends and pops the doors open. When you turn off the camera the lens retreats back into the camera and the little door closes. It works great. The item is made of good quality heavy duty materials. This is perfect if you're accustomed to a point-and-shoot camera with no lens cap - saves you having to learn/remember to remove and attach the lens cap every time you use it/put it away.The item screws on permanently by removing the front ring on the lens. It looks to be well made, however I found that it cuts into the corners when using the lens at 16mm, it goes away when zoomed in a bit. Not really usable unless you don’t mind cut corners in your picture.
