    Using the virtual COM port to key the PTT worked for a while, but then FL-Digi stopped recognizing the COM port (even tho it appeared in my Device Manager). ... So i just unplugged the USB-COM-port cable, and used straight VOX keying with this old radio (FT-102). I make many digital contacts with that old radio now, both FL-Digi and WSJT-X. Shipping time was terrible, but that was the fault of the USPS, not the seller. It bounced around Texas for 5 days or so before exiting TX.

    I have another of these units for a different radio and it works very well. This time, there was an issue getting it to work properly. I contacted the seller, who worked with me to troubleshoot the issue and determined that it was defective, and offered to repair or refund. I did have to pay to ship it back, which is unfortunate, but a refund was promptly issued. I marked the shipping cost to 3 stars for shipping because of I got stuck for shipping both ways for a defective product.
