  • Palm Tungsten T2 for Traveling Light

The Tungsten T2 has the slide that reveals the stylus input pad which is hidden when the slide is closed making the PDA smaller than most others. This is a plus for those wanting a small package easily carried in pocket or purse. The Palm OS is lean and mean, but still packs a lot of features into a small space. The user interface is extremely user friendly which is great for those who just want a relatively simple device with which to maintain and easily their contact, calendar and task info. It has a lot of other features such as mp3 playing, word and spreadsheet capability, and photo albums, but chalk those up as bonuses. I bought it for the reasons stated above and it proved more than adequate for my needs, mostly because I also have an iPod Touch 32GB for all that other stuff, ...

  • If you like compact, this Palm is for you.

The Tungsten T2 was the Palm that delivered on the promise of the new form-factor that debuted with the Tungsten T. The case of this PDA is aluminum and is very durable. It has a decidedly brighter screen than its predecessor the Tungsten T, and is blessedly free from the "screen drift" that plagued that model. This is where you would have to re-calibrate the digitizer every month or so in order to use the device with the stylus. It also packs more useable RAM (29MB of owner useable RAM). Some people didn't like the clear plastic cover that shipped with this unit. I however, really liked it and found it very useful and practical. You simply snapped off the clear cover and you could snap it on the back of the unit when you wanted to write with the stylus. Otherwise, ...

  • Palm T2

I have been using Palm Pilots since 1998 (a M505) to replace a bulkly paper planner. I purchased my first T2 in early 2000 to take with me on deployment to the Balkans. Not only did it live through the rigors of Army life (especially w/ the Palm hard clam shell case), but it also gave me a small, convenient platform to keep me on schedule and my contact list handy. It is also easy to "sync" with my computer w/ the included software. I "sync" regularly to ensure I don't lose any information. I also use the "beaming" function to exchange contact information w/ friends and business associates who are as Palm users. I considered upgrading to later versions of the Tungsten and then the LifeDrive, but the T2 continues to give me what I need in a PDA. I have purchased a total of three T2s. ...

  • Palm Tungsten T2 is Palm's best

I have been using "palm pilots" since the early 90's. I think that the T2 is the best I've had and I wish that Palm still sold it new. There are lots of apps available that are useful to me, especially HandBase. The migration from one app to another is quick and steady and it seldom needs a cold reboot. I wore out a couple and when Palm stopped selling them, I bought the then latest combined with a cell phone: the Treo 650 (I'm on AT&T wireless). I found that both the cell and Palm sections to be less than satisfactory. The quick migration from one app to another on the Palm section that I was used to from T2 experience is not there on the Treo. So next I bought a new E2, thinking I would use the E2 for Palm applications and the Treo as only a cell phone. Same slow migration problem! Now ...

  • Great PDA

Lot of memory, beautiful screen, battery better than T1, can hold alot of applications, can record voices, can get a used one for $50-$75 dollars. Cons-internet access poor. If you want good organizer cheap with good memory and can process alot of applications and a nice screen, this is the one to get. If you want internet access, don't buy.
