These are very nice carriers, especially for the price. Only two upgrades that I used. 1. All the lock nuts are M8/1.25 , except for the ones that hold the carrier to your cross bars. Maybe it didn't need it, but I bought additional M8 lock nuts so that nothing was going to vibrate loose on the roof, once installed. 2. I also bought extra 1/4 washers to install on the same bolts, (the long ones), just before you install the Nylock Knobs. I think it makes it so you can tighten the knobs easier.

The 2 pairs of kayak racks got the job done for $35 it ain’t bad. You get what you paid for. They struggle to hold my 16 foot tandem kayak. The bottom plate can straighten/contort over time .. easy fix. 3.5 stars out of 5. Seller is excellent as I had no issues and low expectations.
