Product Information

Disney's Ultimate Band is an every-kid's answer to air-guitar aspirations and fantasies of fame, inspired by the play of harder-rocking rhythm games aimed at teen-and-older audiences. Unlike Guitar Hero and Rock Band, Ultimate Band makes exclusive use of the motion-sensing Wii Remote and Nunchuk, and does not require any additional, instrument-shaped controllers. To play drums, bass, or rhythm guitar, players simply hold a controller in each hand and mimic the motions. One player can also take the role of the group's leader, who takes center stage to pump up the crowd with energetic movements. All four band-mate characters are highly customizable, from gender and coloring to clothing and accessories. Story plays a central role in the game, as players earn their way to pop stardom, from anonymous garage band to contenders in a nation-wide "battle of the bands" contest. Ultimate Band features original renditions of 30 songs from the pop charts of the past 50 years, including "Fell in Love With a Girl," "My Generation," "Whip It," and the Jonas Brothers' "Hold On."

    Ultimate Band rocks

    It is fairly easy to learn the instruments. My adult kids came over and when they started to act bored, I put the game in and the party came alive. My daughter said she had played the competitors game the night before and this one was much funner. She even borrowed the game and has yet to return it!

    Fun for all ages

    I am very glad that I bought this game. All of the kids and their friends can play it without needing to be worried that they cant play the other band style games. I didn't need to buy extra items like guitar or drums, the game is THE go to game in my house right now, so I guess I did well! I even play it, and other then this game, I just sit back and watch! Great family fun!

    Brand new Game. Fun for the family! It is nice to have a game for wii that you don't have to have all the other products just the remotes you already have. It is an excellent game for those who love the "rock band" but for a less price!

    For those who can't afford rock band...

    I bought this, not really knowing what to expect, and it was neither disappointing nor rewarding. It just is. There is no real skill involved in playing this game, just a bunch of flailing about in front of the TV. It's not completely unenjoyable, just not as much fun as I would have liked. I wouldn't recommend it, but I'm not going to pan it completely, either. I would simply say, don't expect too much.

    Not for Guitar Hero or Rock Band crowd

    The game has good selection of music, and is better for younger kids or those who are not already experienced Rock Band or Guitar Hero players. Four out of five members of my household agree. (2 teen boys, myself, and 11 and 13 year old girls)
