A Bargain Workhorse - The Toshiba e750
The Toshiba e750 is a great pocket pc that bundles built-in WiFi, both Secure Digital and Compact Flash slots, and a speedy processor into one attractive device. It is a bit bigger than the models currently available but still very "pocketable". It runs on pocket pc 2003 operating system which includes pocket versions of Word, Excel, and Windows Media Player 9. It has been a great device for me. After two and a half years of daily use it has developed a habit of loosening the connection between the screen and the digitizer rendering it useless without opening it up and re-establishing the connection. This has happened twice to me but could be due to the grind and abuse it takes from being used every day. It's battery is a rechargeable li-ion cell that is external and can be swapped ... well rounded,easy ,inexpensive, and durable!
I upgraded this PDA from the toshia e330 about 2-3 weeks ago. The main reason i upgraded to this was because of the wireless feature, point blank period. The configuration wizard for connecting to a wireless network is "easy, with lots of encrytion/security" types to select. however when you try to connect to a wireless network that is encryption, it wont allow you too. Also the little " many options" the wizard gives you, ya you can basically throw them out the window, because it loves to automatically connect to the network with the greatest signal strength. To make a long story short about the wireless features, yes it does work and i love being able to surf on it at wifi spots. Other reviews i have read say its has something to do with the OS. microsoft mobile 2003 doent seem to have this issue. Now in terms of the other features the pda have, im appreciated is the ability to customize the hot keys, and the advance power saving options. For under 200 bucks, this 4 year old pda can do pretty much what of any the current ones can push like.

I think its great. Simple to use. Connects to WIFI easily. I got it originally to replace an older E405 that died. I use it mainly as a portable photo album. The wireless is great. Now when I'm out on my motorcycle I can access the net if I need to. Great little set up with accessories still available.
