Excellent Strings that wont tie you up!
If you want a bass that can boom and Tump and give your bass a real pro sound, dont worry the British are here! These string were created for modern sounds, if you just want to Slap nad pop dont buy these. For that you need a Nickal Coated String. Swing Bass should tell you all you want to know. Rock, Jazz, R N B, Soul etc these are the best! If you play well these strings can last many years and sound better as they get older! I just set up 3 Short Scale basses I built and I put Rotosound 66 Swing String on all three of them! I klnow how to get value for momey! The gold standard of bass strings
I don't have a good musical ear. I'm just a guitar-player wannabe. I've been hacking around with guitars for well over forty years, and I'm probably not much better than I was in my early years. Never had any desire or inclination to try my hand at the bass until recently. Got an Ibanez miKro gsrm20 short scale and was immediately hooked. I am no more of a bass player (yet) than a guitar player, but I may have just found my instrument. The strings that came on this bass were fine, but being new to the game, I had to find out what all the big name guys use and have used in the past. Doesn't take long on the web to discover that John Entwistle of the Who and Chris Squire of Yes used Rotosound, so here we go.I am using the only strings from Rotosound (that I know of) that will fit my bass ... slap the bass.
These roto sound was 1st time using them. Very bright strings great for slapping. Also finger style. Would recommend to anybody. Could not believe the tone on these strings. These might be my go to strings.
