    Tedious to install

    Did it ourselves at home and it took over 2 hours to take the necessary parts of the mower apart, install the new clutch cable, then put the mower back together. Part did not come with any instructions, so we had to rely on a flashlight, mirror, and magnifying glass to find the right parts to remove.

    genuine Honda part and inexpensive

    Exact replacement in every detail to the original 13 year old part. Surprisingly cheap but I'm not complaining. Not the easiest part to change at least on my HRR2163TDA mower. Unless you drop the whole gearbox assembly you can't see where the end hooks onto the lever without sticking a camera in that area to see what you are dealing with. Getting the plastic arrow shaped clip(located before the cable end) out of the bracket on top of the gearbox was a challenge as well since getting pliers in the small space was not possible. I used a flathead screwdriver to bend the tabs backward and then pulled it out of the bracket. You'll need 3 zipties to secure it back onto the handle tube. I simply reused mine since I know how to remove a ziptie without damaging it.
