    Perfect fit on my 1998 Ford Ranger!

    I was forced to replace the OEM shift knob on my '98 Ford Ranger about 6-8 years ago. The local Ford dealer wanted way too much $$$ for a replacement so I bought a "universal" shift knob from my local auto parts store. It wasn't a perfect fit, and I never liked the feel of it, but it did the job. I finally decided that it was time to replace it and I found this Ford OEM shift knob replacement at a very good price. I thought it was too good to be true, but I purchased it anyway. When I got it, the shift knob slid on tightly to the shift stick. I used a rubber mallet to pound the shift knob more snugly. The OEM shift knob is a really nice size for my hand and comfortable to grip when shifting. I wish I had purchased this much earlier.

    It didn’t fit despite the claim that it would

    They have an extended selection process to see if it will fit your model. I used it but it didn’t fit. Perhaps it was OEM but it bore no resemblance to my original that came with my truck when I bought it from the dealership. For $15 it wasn’t worth the time and effort to return it, but I don’t want anyone else to fall into the same trap.

    Excellent Shift Knob A+++++

    I have 360,000 miles on my 1998 Ford Explorer Sport 2 Door. The original shift knob came loose years ago and I put a generic shifter on from a local parts place. It has been ok and then I saw this on EBay. What a difference in comfort, feel and better shifting due to the weight of the knob. I recommend this to anyone looking to replace the original one on their Ford.

    Perfect Fit

    Ordered this for my 1993 Ford F150. It fit perfectly and looks awesome. It also has a nice grip and feel when shifting! I lined it up on the shifter and used a rubber mallet to hit it into place and seat it. Absolutely looks great and works great. Highly recommend.
