Brycen Chrono - Solar power at a bargain
Very nice Eco Drive chrono. These Eco Drives have been very reliable over long periods of time. Quartz accuracy with no dependence on battery replacements every few years. Good size at ~44. Lug widths are 22mm, though so it will look big on smaller wrists. Will only measure 1 hr long on the chrono, though. I normally wear automatics so this is a good run around watch for the weekend. Exceptionally good looking watch
Watch has a classic look and feel, largely due to the understated cream colored dial. Nice perforated strap just adds to the aesthetic, and makes it the perfect watch to wear if you happen to drive a classic E type Jaguar. Gripes are typical for Citizens: a mineral glass crystal and a too-small date window. But they are minor, given the watch's overall appeal. Very stylish watch and great value for money proposition
I own nearly 40 watches and buy and sell all the time, this is my 4th Citizens and my only Eco Drive model. However its going to make the permanent collection and it looks terrific. The rally band is fair and may look better punched. The band may be a bit short if your wrist is >7.5. Also, the date window is far too small, as such I will add a Cyclopes and post pics. Big bang for the buck.
Basicly the watch is awesome and is increadable value with style. The function is flawless and reliable typical Citizen . How - ever ...........the date is so small and tight that its almost impossible to read. If knowing the date at a glance and not having to ask someone else to read it to you don't get this watch. Come on Citizen you should know this about your product - add a magnifier or enlarge the date view area. very happy with this watch in my collection :)
i really liked what i read about this watch, but a little pricey. I found one "refurbished" for a good price. All i had to do was leave it on my window sill for a couple of days to fully charge :). Nice leather strap. I use it more as a chronograph(stop watch) than a tachymeter. The chrono has 1 hour limit, rather than the less desirable 30 minute.
