Oh, the humanity...
Director Neil Blomkamp shows us a future here (not as dark as District 9) where the creation of true AI is being explored. Sharlto Copley is absolutely masterful (portrays Chappie) and all relevant sequences are his actual physical performance and not entirely CGI. We can really identify with the character: he was just 'born' into a harsh world and everyone wants to use him to accomplish their own selfish ends. Surprisingly, Chappie the (retired) police robot ends up being the one 'person' in the film that you really feel empathy for. Most of the real humans are entertainingly despicable. Lots of dark humor. (notable supporting appearances from Sigourney Weaver & Hugh Jackman). Blomkamp's take on his native Johannesburg, South Africa is rather mesmerizing: politically charged and undeniably inhumane, with a tortured soul...Shining, genuinely stunning performances from Ninja & Yo-Landi as well!

Great Movie
I saw Chappie when it came out earlier in the year at the Movie Theater. I really enjoyed the movie. It is one of my favorites in the Sci-fy movie genera. Great story and well acted. The DVD I purchased was a great value. Great Price for a Great Product. I am very happy with my purchase. Shipping was very quick and it arrived just as described. Brand new Blu-Ray disk for the price of a regular DVD.

Gave it and excellent for the quality of the DVD .
I found the dvd to be ok. It was reminiscent of the movie Short Circuit. Again, the value was the viewing quality of the DVD. Would only recommend with reservations. The storyline was predictable as was the ending. I was disappointed.
