Ghost Towns of Wyoming, the first in a series of ten ghost town books, is a stunning volume featuring a historical and physical biography of 74 sites, with their history dating back to 1812. While many of these towns are a vanishing breed from a bygone era, a sense of history hangs in the air of their empty streets. The only sounds that fill your ears are the wind, creaking boards, and the gravel under your boots.

SynopsisHe admits that he did not personally visit quite a few of these ruins. I live in Sweetwater county and can vouch for the inaccurate info on several of our nearby towns. Example Winton. is Highly accessable and still quite alot to see. Same for Dines. Has mis information on Superior too, and he actually went there. So research the towns before you go, and don't take this book as gospel. It is a good reference for as far as it goes, but there are better references to fall back on, Like Dudley Gardner's books. and the "Booms and Busts on the Bitter Creek" It definately makes me wonder about the accuracy for other areas of Wyoming.
