Perfect for e-assist recumbent trike
I used this on all four of my e-assist recumbent trikes. Each one has the bafang BBSHD 1500 watt mid drive paired to a nuvinci N380 Cvt internal hub. This is the best chain tensioner I have found to handle the power of that motor with the thicker 3/32” chain pulling through it at 1500 watts of power! Best single speed conversion component!
Just recently installed and only a few short 10 mile rides. So far the unit performs flawless with my 2x FSA 10sp Carbon Pro Team crank driving a 17t single cog at free hub. Plenty of lateral drive line adjustment for smooth operation while shifting between the 50t/39t chain rings. Fairly quiet and very smooth spinning sealed ball bearings on pully tension cogs.
