TRUTH IN PRODUCT ADVERTISING!
Item works great! As the literature says, it is comfortable on your face, no after-effects or skin irriation, helps the mask seal much better and allows you to loosen the head straps a bit, so you are more comfortable. Cleaning was easy, just used some mild hand soap, rinsed under warm water and layed on a cotton hand towel - when it was dry I put it back on the plastic sheet it came on (wash it every time too) and left it in a cool, dry place. The only (MINOR) drawback is that it really doesn't stick to your skin very well for a prolonged period of time, so you need to put it on just before you are ready to go to sleep; if you want to watch TV, listen to music, read etc. prior to bedtime it won't stay put............so you can't just hurry up and put your mask on before you pass out! Didn't work for me. Several layers of Nexcare tape (different sizes) work better for me, combined with alternating with a mask that does not cover my nose. Works for ME.
My full-face C-PAP masks ALWAYS leaked around the bridge of my nose no matter how tight I adjusted my headgear. Once I started using the Gecko Nasal Gel Pad, I was able to loosen my straps back to normal without incurring more leakage. I've had no reaction to the material in the pad and find them very comfortable. They need to be kept clean, and replaced every two weeks or so, but my sleep has benefited greatly. Great CPAP air leak sealer
I was frustrated with being dinged for mask air leaks, even though my apnea events dropped significantly and sleeping much better. I bought the ResMed Gecko Nasal Pad and it has helped stop air leaks for the majority of the nights. Light weight
My husband uses this nose piece to keep his mask from making the top of his nose bleed. We haven't figured out how it cuts his nose but, no worry anymore with this thing across his nose. Really stops mask air leaks
I had a real problem keeping a tight fit on my nasal cushion. I'd readjust the mask each night and the morning scores would be inconsistent. Then I found the Gecko nasal pad. I got the large size because of my nose (it comes in other sizes). So now my routine is to tilt my head back a little, put the pad on and then the mask. I hardly ever have to adjust the mask straps and the morning scores are pretty consistent so I can get a better sleep knowing I'm getting more benefit from the CPAP machine.
