    Plug N Play

    I was skeptical about this carburetor because of the price but I took a chance anyway. I installed it on a 74 Super Beetle and I was very surprised that it works right away without making any adjustments. After the initial startup my car is very easy to start even without stepping on the gas. Idle is a little bit on the high side but that’s easy to adjust. Time will tell how long it will lasts.

    Fixed my issues. Great carb. Great deal.

    I have a rebuilt 1600dp vw engine that would not run after firing up. I replaced everything, including rebuilding the stock carb. As a last effort, i replaced the intake manifold as i suspected a cracked center section. I also picked up this carb to complete the new intake system. Well, it fired right up after the new fuel pump delivered a supply of gas to it, just had to give the distributor a little twist to get the timing right and it idled pretty great right out of the box. Maybe a quarter turn on the side screws and it was right on. Choke heated up and opened perfect. No leaks, smooth even running now. Great item! Comes with the studs, nuts, gasket, and the idle cutoff solenoid is a nice upgrade to prevent the annoying diesel run-on in hot weather.

    Seems right on a great budget.

    As a reproduction item, this is almost 100% identical to its 48 year old predecessor. I have not Installed the carburetor yet, but if looks count, its spot on. Great price and ready for running!

    Fire on first crank no adjustments!

    Excellent carburetor! Especially for the value! Bolted right up, and it fired on first crank without any adjustments! This carb made a huge difference in power and performance with minimal adjustments required! With warm up time it only took me 10 minutes to adjust out the carb to optimal performance. Now my sand rail with the 71 vw 1600 can roast the tires and stays running without any hesitation or flat spots! I'll definitely buy another one if needed, and I will most definitely recommend this carb to everyone with a vw 1600! Great job guys!
