I bought this book for my 3rd grade granddaughter to be a part of the Little House series I will soon be giving her. I wanted to make sure it was appropriate for someone her age. The first books of the series were popular in the late 50's when I was my granddaughter's age. So I'm sharing my childhood reading with her.
