  • Best realistic image quality..

This film is amazing. The image quality can't be beat. I am a professional writer/photographer and when the situation allows, I keep the digital cameras in their case and shoot film. I use two transparency films... For bright scenes or when a wide tonal range is needed, I use Provia-100. When the lighting is soft (overcast sky, early morning or late afternoon) I turn to Velvia-50 for the spectacular color saturation and contrast. The Provia-100 gives the best (most realist) tonal range with better detail in the dark areas. I highly recommend these two films. Each is the best at what they do.

  • Fuji Provia RDP

You cannot beat the color rendition, fine grain, and vividness. Transparencies make awesome prints but, transparency film is NOT tolerant of sloppy exposures. Negative films have 2+ stops plus/minus, this has plus/minus 1/2 stop. If you love color, this is IT.

  • Very sharp, natural punchy colors and incredible reciprocity.

My absolute favorite color film, hands down. I prefer Provia 100 to Velvia 50. Colors are not more natural, but still pack a punch. Very sharp grain. It has about +/- 3 stops of dynamic range. Almost a full stop better than the Velvias. Another incredible aspect of this film: reciprocity failure. Two full minutes before any compensations is needed! Attached picture is taken with a Fuji GX617 and 90mm lens (someone please contact me if they know of the 72mm special order lens that Fuji made).

  • Ze best!

If you are old like me you know that Fuji makes the best film. Period. Tightest grain, best color. Reliable. The slower the speed, the better. I mainly use this for studio photos of guitars with lighting. Excellent results. I've used expired film 10-years-old freezer stored (and not taken care of by me) with great results. This was expired earlier in the year I got it and it's like new. If you like film (why not?), use this. Fuji rules.
