The FYI news magazine show formed the fulcrum around which the life of MURPHY BROWN was unveiled on TV screens in the late 1980s. Murphy (Candice Bergen) is the show's hottest reporter, but is beset by personal problems. A visit to the Betty Ford clinic and a house in a constant state of disrepair are just two of the difficulties Murphy faces, but luckily she has a bunch of friends around her who are willing to make sure she keeps on the straight and narrow. A true classic. Now Warner Brothers needs to pay up for the music licensing and release all the seasons on DVD.
