Deploy umbrella to test coverage before filling base with water. Once filled it can’t be moved (unless water is pumped out). 2. Push down on foot pedal to tilt. Mechanism requires strength. 3. Base doesn’t integrate well with umbrella and post. Not good aesthetics. 4. Keep original packaging. I have thrown mine out, so I can’t return although this umbrella doesn’t meet our needs.
