The seller explained it had been “cleaned", melted, and poured into pails. This process removes much of the waxes, resins, and unsaponifiables that give unrefined shea its unique benefits. As a cosmetic chemist with almost 30 years of formulation experience, I can say this is not true unrefined shea. When I explained this to the seller, they told me I was wrong. Avoid.
