Sharpest knives ever
This product gets both American and Japanese style knives extremely sharp; far sharper than any other system I have ever used. It works great with kitchen and pocket knives of all sizes, including serrated knives and cleavers. It is quick and easy to use. I have had a Chef's Choice 110 for years and found it too is a great product. I bought the Trizor XV so I could sharpen Japanese knives as well as American. I am very happy. My model 110 lasted for many years and the Trizor is built at least as well so I expect years of good service. The main difference is the Trizor puts a steeper angle on the blade, which is consistent with Japanese knives. The makes the blade sharper.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Not a tool I would purcase again or in the future.
An expensive knife sharpener with lots of plastic parts that get cut or worn over normal use. Most of the knives were sharpened but only after 8-10 passes on each wheel. Once sharpened, they are razor sharp but it takes some doing to get there. I rate this as only good, not a great value even on sale and the quality is not what I expected. Fantastic, so far
I have only sharpened 2 knives with it. As they said in the instructions, it takes many passes the first sharpening. Dull to Sharp Pronto
Tired of dull knives? Get one of these and you'll start enjoying slicing, carving and cutting instead of smashing, whacking and hacking. The plastic housing that covers the rotary wheels is a little bit light and over time the use of device to sharpen knives will result in some wear to bottom of slot where knives are pulled through in order to sharpen. That noted, this is a good tool and if a little care is given when pulling knives through in order to sharpen, the plastic housing will last a long time. Yields sharp knives, be they large chef knives and other kitchen knives. Doesn't work on certain knives like Japanese style blades or serrated knives.
