    dented housing

    This product must have been dropped from a considerable distance. After opening the box, the Styrofoam insert was in pieces, the parts bag was open with loose parts inside box, and the disposal itself had a very large dent on the bottom edge. The dent is so deep that I am surprised that it actually works, but it does. However, it was supposed to be a new item and not a damaged item.
