    The books in this series get better with time.

    Somehow the "in Death" books just get better as time goes on... This is one of the best. It grabs you from the beginning and doesn't let go until the end. The fact that the NYPD allows Roarke as a consultant makes the books so much better. The connection between him and his wife grows stronger and it can be felt with Robb's descriptions of their love for each other. Do I recommend this book? YES. Absolutely. The plot is different from others that have been explored in the series. Great book!

    She's back to writing can't put down novels again! I felt these books had become formulaic over the last couple of years, But it's like reading J.D. Robb again. Glad to have them back!

    The shadows seem to refer to the power of the past on the present.

    Enjoyable Eve Dallas read for her fans, although it is very similar to some of the previous entries in the series. Includes outside the station excursion for the Commander and immersion in the home Irish locale. Plenty of policing detail for detective procedural lovers. I did not find this villain quite as intriguing as usual. As always, the chemistry among the recurring characters in the series is a strong point.

    I love all of the J. D. Robb novels, always twists and turns to the mystery with laughs to keep it light from the main characters. I highly recommend the In Death series.
