I replace the casters with skate type wheels and the chair really moves well on a carpet, I would not advise these wheels for wood floors, you may fall or have a bad accident, too slippery. The reclining position is short range and stiff, there are no instruction about the spring setting for this purpose below the chair, other control is well marked. I use it in the straight up position, but if you recline a lot, is not for you.
