Unnecessarily complex assembly w/ horrible manual!
Can't review the product in its entirety because after ~4 or 5 hours of attempting to assemble this monstrosity, I gave up. It's all but impossible to assemble from the instructions in the included manual, nor is it likely to be done by a single person.
For those poor souls who've already purchased this, a few notes:
1) check youtube video for how to correctly and easily attach the bungees with the knob down (not Skywalker, some random YT'er); the instruction manual is worthless;
2) check Skywalker's youtube channel for a video walkthrough on how to assemble (though even that is not particularly clear);
3) the leg holes in the red matting are virtually invisible. They are located on the seams and very difficult to find.
4) Assembling the inner rings consist of first, the foam, then the metal insert. You will need multiple people and a lot of muscle to make these match, mostly because the frame is so distorted up to this point. There is not circular shape for the frame to really follow at this point so you have to muscle them into place.
5) The size:in inches mentioned in the description is not usable space, but the footprint of the entire device. About a foot is lost to the enclosure, so in my case 48" was actually closer to 36". Doesn't sound like much but once you see it in action, it looks more like a bouncy cage, than a trampoline for fun.
6) The enclosure is absurdly tight, making it both safe and a nightmare. Would seem like a simple ratcheting apparatus would be easier to use, meaning put all the netting in place and ratchet it tight, versus attempting to put everything in place fully tense! This is difficult, to say the least!
In the end, after attempting to assemble this solo, the trampoline is now useless. Attempting to insert the fully-tight inner rings through excessive foam and a tiny slit in the netting proved to much. The holes are to large to hold the netting securely and the foam damaged. With the enclosure removed and detached from the mat itself, one's left with metal legs sticking up about an inch, presenting a huge danger to the child. In short, it is now useless.
I am incredibly disappointed, as is my toddler. Great Christmas gift! (sarcasm) I will make sure these notes are pasted in as many places sell this product as I possibly can; it is simply poorly designed and poorly executed.
