    SO OL' SCHOOL!!!

I first received this game in Christmas of 1994. I had this game until 1997 when I lost it. That was the last time I played this cult video game on Sega Genesis. When I thought about this game and other like this I ordered a Sega Genesis back in October as a replacement for the one my older-half brother got for Christmas back in 1990. When I received this game 4 years later. Me and him would play each other day and night until 1996-1997. We'd play each other every day and night before we went to bed for school. I was really and truly addicted to this game lol! I still am to this day when it comes to my early youth. Things was different back then and not the same now as before but hey, man, those was the days and SO OL' SCHOOL!!! Thank you for your service!

A good 16-bit Street Fighter, but not the Greatest...

Street Fighter 2: Special Champion Edition was the Sega Genesis answer to the SNES versions of SF2 Turbo, and Street Fighter 2. Unfortunately, while the Genesis edition of this game was quite good in itself, it couldn't really hold water next to the far superior SNES editions. SF2: SCE is a great game. It's basically SF2: Turbo for the Genesis. Chun-Li has the fireball, Ken has the Fire Dragon punch. Ryu has the True Fireball Hadoken. And so forth. Six-button Genesis gamepads are supported natively, and you have the eight turbo speeds available, just like SF Turbo did. But some things just cant hold up to competition. The graphics aren't as strong as Turbo. The sound is good for Genesis, but Turbo wins there, too. Controls were also more crisp on the SNES as well. So, for nostalgia purposes I would say sure, buy the Genesis SF2 game. As it's not bad at all. But for the 16-bit era, the superior version will almost unanimously be SF2 Turbo by most retro gamers standard.

  • Sega genesis glory days

To many yap about the snes version being so much more when it's not it's just nintendo babies crying. Both versions for snes and sega are different but both are a blast and honestly in today's world both snes and sega can be had for ton less then a modern day system alone. What I'm sayin is just becaue today's systems have all the flash they have zero substance everything needs a patch or download this buy more outfits ?? I don't care if u can change there cloths gezz it's a video game and a fighter at that we want the best controls and near arcade graffics and that's what the snes and genesis did well back 25 30 yrs ago u can't measure the fun we had compared to today's brats screaming swearing at each other over internet and cheating and hackin the games . No us old school gamers love that 2md player is right there sitting next to us and if we want 4 players they also sitting right there not some bozo adult tryin pretend there kids online tryin creep on our kids. Disagree well truly then u have no clue and maybe yr that creepy adult stalking kids on the net while they try play games 🤔

  • Game classics

Much better than playing this game on PC is playing on console. We use AtGames Sega Megadrive. Graphics, sounds and styling of this game returns you to early 90's. Blanka, Dhalshim and other characters from this game are well known for everybody, who played this type of games almost thirty years ago. This game is rival of Mortal Kombat 2, Brutal: Battle of Fury, etc.

  • this game set the standard for future fighting games

SF2 is one of the best fighter genre games on the sega genesis on the same level as mortal kombat (although they are both great and hard to compare). This game is fast paced and has excellent graphics and music for its time. This is a must have for sega genesis owners.

  • best video game ever

I played this game as a kid and it is just as I remember. Streetfighter 2 is the best fighting game ever. might be the best game period. the champion edition is one of the best versions even without T Hawk, Cammy, DJ, and Fei Long in it.

  • Great game, lackluster quality of specific product

Great classic game. Only issue was the quality and function of cartridge. It does not start correctly. You have to turn the console and on off many many times for it to work. This is not the console as all other games work properly.
