    I have a older shimano combination auto-shifter and brake system. I gutted the shifter and replaced with this item. This works great. Note this is designed for the left handle bar instead of the right where I installed it. It works perfectly except the gear number display faces downward meaning not visible. It was simpler to replace the old shifter than to attempt to fix it.
