Great Electronic Toothbrush!
I researched this particular toothbrush before purchasing and after a week of using it, I'm pleasantly pleased. It is NOT bulky, abrasive on your teeth and gums, nor is it loud! The head of the toothbrush is easy to add and replace; in addition, with this particular brand the heads are not overly expensive. Not that great a model
Having owned several Sonicare models, this one is not as comfortable a shape, seems a little less vigorous in brushing and has shorter battery life. Less expensive, but a cheapened model, so you get what you pay for, the higher models are indeed better.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Works Well and Doesn't Hurt My Teeth
Works well and doesn't hurt my teeth when brushing. The bristles are very soft which is what I look for in a toothbrush. It seems to hold a charge well. It's sturdy and well made. In 3 months I'll have to replace the brush head as one should change toothbrushes every 3 months. I've already seen some of those listed on eBay for a decent price so that should be no problem. The sonicare essence plus is the best brush I've ever used. The high speed oscillation cleans teeth to a very high level. The brush is well designed and cleans up easily. Since I got this Sonicare electric toothbrush, I look forward to brushing my teeth even more so than before. The timer signal to move from one part of the teeth to the other is an excellent invention. Great job, Philips. OK so far. I'm just going by its claims and recommendation by my dentist.
Very rapid, short movements - I guess better to remove tartar. But it doesn't remove food particles from between teeth as well as brushing by hand does, with longer pulling strokes. Consequently, I use this at night & floss, but brush by hand in the morning after breakfast. This design is much better.
