    Best 2.5" Mechanical Drive

    I have installed more than a dozen of these drives at this point with ZERO defects. I have several of them in systems that are a few years old now. I've even dropped one and it works fine. I am thoroughly convinced that this is the best 2.5" hard drive ever. The formatted capacity is ~680Gb. While I still consider these quiet, you will hear this drive in a quite room. The bearings on this model are pretty loud for a 2.5" hard disk, but you only hear it when your surroundings are dead silent. It's a small price to pay for the performance and reliability this drive will give you. Pros: Fast - While still outclassed by SSDs, this drive is quick!     Working great so far

    Purchased one used with the SMART drove data indicating 219 days of power on time, and the drive has worked great for the last 3 days on a repaired laptop. Performance increase is noticeable compared to a WD 5200rpm Blue model. Western Digital has been the most reliable brand compared to Seagate drives which have failed me in the past with no data recovery possible.

    WD Black Laptop hard drive improves speed and overall performance.

    Western Digital Black , What more do I need to say !!! ... Using this 750gb hard drive with a crucial mx300 275gb ssd as a fusion drive in my late 2011 MacBook Pro 15 !!! ... everything works great , speed is the same as ssd and capacity is 1.025 TB ... I couldn't be happier
