These things are great. Xtra 50ft & now can reach whole yard. Had before but it got ran over by a truck, caused a rupture then kinda exploded. Not truck proof but everything else proof. Defective, poorly designed, not functional
The hose ends came apart which after a week I tossed it away, The hose needs to fill with water completely to function and you constantly have to pull the hose to obtain any length. Item is nice and light weight and does not take up much space. It does not allow a strong water pressure as the ones with gold fixtures on it. But very good if you need to move a hose around a lot. I didn’t know what length to get so I purchased a 50fr and a 75ft. I ended up connecting them together. If it’s not for a specific reason I would just buy a 100ft long one. Convenient
I've had several of these expanding hoses and this one seems the same. They will last several years with light to medium use. I use it for watering and washing cars. It would not hold up to heavy use such as supplying a pressure washed. Trick is to never fully close the nozzle to prevent pressure build up. Even when washing a car I let it spray lightly into the grass. Do this and you can expect a few years before it fails. Worth the convenience of a light hose that shrinks up to be stored with out having to roll or coil a big hose.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

The Convenience Is Well Worth It
They won't last as long as a conventional hose, but the benefits of a small and lightweight hose is well worth it. I use this for everything including my pressure washer. (I ran water through two hoses into a bucket and the volume was over 5 g.p.m., my pressure washer only requires 3 g.p.m.) You have to use common sense, don't drag it over gravel or sharp landscaping, don't leave the water pressure on while you go inside for lunch unless you have a sprinkler running, etc. I've been using two in my yard for years and I'll continue to buy them as needed.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

This is the second one I've purchased. I have only had the first one a couple months. Its very convenient. Super compact when done watering. I got the second one to reach my car to wash it. I will keep it inside over the colorado winter. The biggest question I have about it is its longevity. In the past I have purchased heavy duty commercial hoses which last a long time but are very heavy and a pain to wind up or move, they kink etc. So far its been great.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Expensive piece of junk
Nothing like a regular hose. It is light weight but also they recommend you drain it and store it inside when not using it to make it last longer. Who wants a hose you have to store all the time.
