GTX 1080 still a great card
I recently purchased this graphics card because my CPU (i7-4790k) can't handle the newer 30 series cards. Not to mention it is impossible to get those cards at the moment. I ended up buying this since the 1080 was made at a similar time to my i7-4790k so compatibility wise it was a great choice. The product arrived pretty early (4 days) and it was protected with foam and was in an anti-static bag. The 1080 was very clean and didn't have noticeable scuffs on it. After stress testing it, it ran a little hot (84 degree high on full load with furmark) but that was expected since the FE doesn't have a very good cooling system and running furmark for 30 min is supposed to push it to its limits. During gaming (warzone, fortnite, etc.) it reached around 78 degree highs which is perfectly adequate. ... GTX 1080 is still king
The GTX 1080 is sill a very relevant card and crashes all games up to 2K screen resolution. Over 80% of people are still using 1080p screens, so yeah. The FE version is a perfect candidate for water cooling, so if you get one of those, definitely slap a water block and it will boost over 2ghz.
