I've been running this board with an AMD FX 6350 CPU with 8gb (2x4gb) of G.Skill 2133mhz ram. At first I was having some odd and peculiar type of events going on where it would go in sleep mode and appear to have shut down. Mouse acting up with skip jumping and I had a bit of a time trying to use the MSI "Genie" which is an overclocking software that will auto overclock and auto reboot. After a few days of trying this and that, I finally went to MSI website and read some of the posts and then discovered a few updates along with a bios update which indicated several cures for the peculiar issues I have described. After doing all the updates with the board, getting the Genie to overclock with its new software, things really started to shape up and no more issues, no more problems just a smooth running PC with no more strange and peculiar things. It springs to life the second I touch any key on the keyboard and now I would have given 5 stars on value for money but I did spend a lot of time with getting things sorted out but it is best to do all the updates for this board, the hardware your using and any updates Win7 might have. I bought the MSI 970A-46 for an upgrade. I am running Windows 7, 16gb DDR3 RAM,2.8 FX4200 6 core AMD processor,in a Logisys case with 3 140mm fans and 1 120mm fan. An ASUS DRD-R +/- writer and a Light-On BluRay reader with Rocketfish bluetoot dongle and ASA headset. The board is truly Military Class, and operates flawlessly, and the Click BIOS is fantastic. I am also using an nVidea 3D card. I am not a gamer, so I cannot tell anything about how fast or flawlessly it would run games, but it is very fast and downloads very fast thru the RealTek onboard LAN. This is probably the best board I have ever used. I would give it 4&1/2 stars. And that is just because it doesn't have bluetooth and video integrated. Great.
This Motherboard has all the features I wanted. It fit my budget. Only bad thing is it has no USB 3.0 front panel header.

I used this board in my secondary gaming rig I built, first off this board is a beautiful design, clean layout and not difficult to install, I have had no heat issues from it, this board has overclocking ability even though I do not overclock anything and core unlocker so you can unlock hidden cores on some cpu's, it runs very well with my AMD FX 6300 CPU along with my Radeon 7870 it seems to be a great performer in games. Now the only thing I wish but not really a negative is a USB 3 header would have been nice to have on the board so you could use front USB ports but even though there is not one it does have USB 3 and those plugs are located in the back. But as with anything electronic your mileage may vary plus its best to always do a search on anything before you buy to see if there has been any real issues your willing to gamble on.Read full review
