I go deep sea fishing for 8 days straight. I sweat, get wet and am active for at least 8 hours. This sunblock is essential to my safety. The ocean waters will burn your skin along with the open sky and sun. I have never received a burn on my face when I wear this. Not even a tan. The damage of the sun causes early signs of aging , by wrinkling your skin, making it look like leather. Who wants that? Including age spot or sun spots. Also the sun will make the risk of sun cancer exponentially higher if you don't wear sunblock. I wear this under my makeup. It does not distort the quality of your foundation. I even put a layer of primer over this sunblock. I never leave home without it. Make sure your sunblock has not expired too. Never use expired sunblock. Picture shows sunblock rubbed in. ... Its a good product but, it comes out white and remains that way even after placing it on the face. If you are not concerned about having a face that looks like you smeared liquified baking soda on it, then go for it. It is for someone that is sunbating or not expecting to go anywhere publicly. It does serves as a great protective barrier but, I started mixing it with my other sunscreen to ensure that the white film dissolves and I still am able to get the same efect. Clinique SolarSmart is the same one that I have been using for the last 26 years. It is a great one. Its a good product but, it comes out white and remains that way even after placing it on the face.
