Quality at a Budget Price
This is a nice big knife and small machete. It comes sharp. The "false" edge is also sharp. This is a very useful camp knife to do brush clearing, chopping, cutting, and butchering larger game. It would be a solid defensive weapon if needed. The grip is well designed to avoid slipping or sliding.

Great field bowie knife!
You can beat on this thing with out fear as it is incredibly tough, but inexpensive enough to replace. The only thing that it lacks from a conventional bowie is a thicker blade and thus more weight.

Start with the handle. It's well formed, comfortable, and secure. The blade is a clip-point, centering the tip on the centerline of the knife. This alignment makes thrusting and stabbing more efficient. The steel will take a very keen edge that is useful for slicing, and light chopping. The flat slab of the blade leaves it an inefficient chopper in wood. A saber, or hollow grind tends to be better, but this knife is no slouch. For 20bux, it's a very capable tool that handles rough use, and cleans right back up for more. The sheath is meh. I crossdraw with this one, and it tends to be a two-handed motion. The weight is very manageable, but it's pretty swingy, in the stride. You'll want a leg tether of some kind. An extreme value, for the money spent, I would not hesitate to buy it ...
