    A great processor for it's age, does most office type tasks with ease using Windows 10.

    This was a great processor back when it was made over a decade ago and still does a fair job at basic tasks today. This was used to upgrade an old low end Pentium D workstation, for my kids to use for doing research and home-schooling, while in lock down. Along with a couple of other minor upgrades (such as RAM, Windows 10 etc.) the Core 2 Duo E8600 is very snappy at opening/running web tasks and also at doing word processing and other such work. Of course it will not compare to a good i7 processor at running multi-threaded processes, but it can run office tasks and older game titles, such as Portal, Half Life etc. and indie games without breaking a sweat. This processor is doing a very good job, especially for the very low price.
