Not easy to setup, but worth it in the end
This drive is just plain AMAZING as far as performance! However, there are a few things you will need to do to it first- 1. You will need to initialize and format this drive before cloning! (SanDisk instructions won't tell you that, but you will need to do this.) Easiest way to do this is download and install SanDisk SSD Dashboard, and find the Windows Disk Management link. If you don't do this, Windows will see the onboard BIOS, but not the drive- it will show up in Dashboard, WDM, and in Control Panel, but not as a logical drive in "This PC." 2. Once formatted, download and use Acronis True Image WD Edition (Acronis EZ Gig IV has problems seeing it, or at least it did for me.) Select your source drive, then your destination drive, start the cloning process, and walk away for about 3-4 ... This drive is just plain AMAZING as far as performance! All your programs load much faster, even internet pages load faster! No really- the price for this is very well worth it, if you're looking for a drive upgrade, even though it's a refurb drive. Get one or six!
