Product Information

Developed by Parker Brothers and Hasbro, and published by Westwood Studios Monopoly is a board game converted to the PC platform. Running in Windows 3.1 or DOS the game maintains the basic gameplay of the physical version while adding interactive menus.<br><br>The game offers a handful of 3D animations running at 640x480 resolution in VGA mode. The Interface and menu system aims to make navigation easy while the game offers tips. Monopoly also makes use of an eighteen-song soundtrack filled with toggleable music.<br><br>Players can compete against up to six friends or AI opponents via hotseat, LAN, or Internet connection, and Monopoly also includes adjustable rules that let competitors alter the amount of money, property, and houses or hotels available at the beginning of each match.

Shipped a 20 year old piece of electronics in a bubble mailer because the PlayStation 2 that was described as “works great” was being sold for parts or repair with no regard for any additional damages in the soft packaging. May have withheld the fact that the unit was previously refurbished. It’s hard to say because that story changed. My least favorite interaction with this seller was when I told them I hadn’t opened the package and wanted to return it and they accused me of theft. Buyer beware

The bubble mailer we used was very high quality with large bubbles. We sent 2 other ones out like this and had no complaints.     Great Alternative to the Original Board Game

    I bought this game to replace a much loved one that had somehow disappeared into that black hole where things your seven year old child really want 'Right Now' end up! This is a perfect Monopoly game, and is great for when you want to play Monopoly but don't want to set up the board game, such as when you have a houseful of eight-week-old kittens that want to play too! The disc has all the features of the regular board game, and also has a music and sound effect soundtrack that (thankfully) can be turned off if required. While nothing really beats the original board game, this computer version is very similar in its rules and how it is played. Perfect, also, if your child wants to play Monopoly and there is no one else who wants to play with them at that time.
