For every person providing mental health services, this a must see!
For a mental health professional, this was one intriguing movie to watch while pondering questions of ethics, boundaries,and establishment of psychoanalytic theories by people, who themselves had an abundances of mental health challenges that seemed to go unadressed. Curious about Freud & Jung's relationship, this movie provides possible valid information not presented in standard textbooks. With plans to watch this movie again, I was initially left with tremendous ambivalence and angst. How ever could a pschoanalyst justify to himself that it was acceptable for him to have sex & an affair with a patient merits scrunity & discussion. Or was Jung's behavior merely an example suggestive that we all, each & everyone of us, see what we what to see and then ... For a mental health professional, this was one intriguing movie to watch while pondering questions of ethics, boundaries,and establishment of psychoanalytic theories by people, who themselves had an abundances of mental health challenges that seemed to go unadressed. Unlike other movies, there is no clear & neat ending which likely parrallels most of our lives, I suppose.
