Actual Brass findings - proven w/ scratch test & magnet. NOT brass colored tin or pot metal.

The metal is thin, albeit strong. Calipers give a reading of 18.5 / 1,000ths of an inch thick & very light-weight.
No flex to the metal (brass) whereas a cheaper metal @ that thickness would bend & kink.
Acceptably strong latch spring - I was surprised.
I would definately recommend this product & seller - a very good value
