I have read it over and over. Mind blowing stuff. The author has an easy style that makes Astrophysics a joy. My mind has been sucked into a black hole that’s a new dimension for my brain.

Good book for those new to the subject. Engagingly written and entertaining. Enjoyed it a lot except for the last chapter in which the author wrings his hands over the fact that not everyone has the financial means and opportunity to study astrophysics as he has done- out of place and a bit goofy.

Love the author, love the topic so it couldn't go wrong. Perfect to those interested in astronomy and astrophysics on a base level. Pretty cover too.

I took AP physics in high school and I am now 48 and wanted a refresher. It is a great explanation of what you may question. It does not go into great depth of each issue but if you have more questions on a subject you can always look it up at a different time. But it is an easy read.

This book took all my concentration even though its title advertises it "for people in a hurry". There were pages dealing with the discoveries of astrophysics which were beyond my comprehension. Even so, the material is fascinating. Overwhelmingly fascinating. Like learning that "night and day, a hundred billion neutrinos from the Sun pass through each square inch of your body, every second, without a trace of interaction with your body's atoms". How about pondering the idea that infinity goes in both directions - outwards to the universe and inwards to the molecular. WHEW! WHAT? I am grateful Neil Tyson attempted to share these laws of science with us nonscientists. I highly recommend this book. I am on my second time through now.
