    A Classic

    On one side, a man who may be Santa Claus or may be a little bit nuts. On the other, common sense and realism. It's a sanity hearing that brings a no-nonsense working single mom and her daughter to believe when common sense tells them not to, good news for the young lawyer who wants to make a family with them and good news for the resident of a home for the aged who becomes Macy's Santa and a public sensation. This classic Christmas film shows people wanting to believe in good again after fighting a war on two fronts. It's about the 'intangibles' in life and why they are just as important to a happy life as having common sense. It's fun, it's charming, it's well-acted with John Payne, Maureen O'Hara, Edmund Gwenn as Kris Kringle and a very young Natalie wood as the child who doesn't ...

    Classics are forever

    I love this old black and white version best. I love to see it during the Thanksgiving holiday. My enjoyment of it is timeless also, and it feels like something is badly missing if I do not see it each year. This version will always be hard to beat. It represents in part the very spirit of Christmas expectation and hope.

    Can't wait

    This the my all time favorite movie at Christmas, since I was a little girl. We enjoy watching the classic Christmas movies all day Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Our VCR broke so we've not been able to see them for a couple of years. Can't wait. Haven't opened it to view, but I'm sure it will be outstanding.
